Cliff Richard & The Shadows

DH and me went to see the last performance of Cliff Richard & The Shadows. It was their Final World Tour, with their last show in Johannesburg at The Dome. Wow, I was blown away, don't have words to describe how wonderful it was.

Cliff and The Shadows (Hank Marvin, Bruce Welch and Brian Bennett) dominated the British popular music scene in the late 1950s and early 1960s, enjoying both solo and joint success. Between them they achieved no less than 19 number one hits including Living Doll, Bachelor Boy, Summer Holiday, The Young Ones, Apache and Wonderful Land.

An absolutely stunning evening, well worth the wait to see them.

At last my Spring Exchange has arrived in Canada and now I can share it with you. It was a pleasure to stitch for Loretta, our first exchange as we are both new to this blog.

Another one, on it's way

I mailed my parcel to my Spring Exchange partner today. It is part of the Spring Exchange organized by Leigh at the Stitching Exchange. Hope it arrives safely as it has to travel over land and sea to reach it's destination, far far away.

Finally another finish

I finished this for a Valentine's exchange that I was part of. My partner received it on Friday, so now I can post a picture of it. I filled the ornie with some dried lavender from my garden. Wendy loved it! I added a few choccies to her parcel. The design is from the book "Made in France" that I received as a gift from Ann.

Busy, busy, busy

I have been very busy catching up on work all weekend, no time for any stitching. Sad, sad state of affairs, when you don't have time to do a little bit of stitching. Hopefully it will be better this week. I just signed up for two more exchanges, really looking forward to them. Have to put the finishing touches to the Spring exchange and finish up the Easter one. Off to the Post Office soon.

Have a lovely week all.

Finally a few finishes for 2010

Although these were stitched in 2009, I finished them in 2010.

At last I have been able to sit down and finish some of my project that I have recently stitched.

I did two ornaments and a scissor fob and finished at least one of the two stockings.

Still have a few more to do, but busy stitching for an exchange at the moment.
